When it comes to professional carpet installation, you may have some questions about what happens and who you will be working with.
When working with Macadam Floor and Design, we make carpet installation easy for you! Your project manager is your one main point of contact from start to finish. This outline will help you know what to expect throughout the carpet installation process.
Carpet Selection
We recommend you call ahead to make an appointment with a project manager. They will listen to your needs, inform you about options, and discuss price points and time frames.
Measurements
After selecting carpet, a measuring specialist will contact you to schedule an on-site measure. Then they send the information back to your project manager.
Quote
The project manager will produce a quote accounting for foreseeable details relevant to your project. This will include carpet, pad, and installation. If you would like additional services, we may also include furniture moving and removal of existing flooring.
Approval and Down Payment
Your project manager will meet with you and review your quote. They will also inform you about your responsibilities, let you know what to expect next, and answer any questions.
Ordering
After you provide written approval and make a down payment, your project manager will place your order. Your carpet may arrive in about a week, or up to several weeks. Your project manager will inform you of any back orders if necessary.
Scheduling
After your order has arrived at the local warehouse, we will contact you to set an installation date. We will also give you a time window for your professional installer’s arrival.
Preparing for Installation
Clear items out of the installation area ahead of time. Move any obstacles in the pathway leading to the area so the installers can easily pass through. They will also need to have a clean, dry area to roll out and cut carpet.
Installation Day
Be available on site or by phone. If anything new comes up, your project manager will contact you to discuss the situation and make professional recommendations. We sometimes discover subfloor damage after removing existing flooring. Any work and/or expenses that are beyond the scope of your original order will require your written approval.
Follow-up and Final Payment
Your project manager will check in to see how everything went and tie up any loose ends. Payment of your remaining balance is due at this time.
Caring for Your New Carpet
Vacuum your carpet before re-furnishing the space. It is completely normal to notice extra fibers the first few times you vacuum your new carpet. The carpet manufacturer lists care and maintenance information on their website for your convenience. Let your project manager know if you have any questions about how to access this information.
Warranty
In addition to the manufacturer product warranty, we also provide a carpet installation warranty. Your project manager will inform you about this coverage.
