Luxury Vinyl Flooring is Durable
Luxury vinyl flooring has been used in commercial spaces for decades. In recent years luxury vinyl flooring has continued to rise in popularity for homes as people have come to appreciate the durability, easy maintenance, waterproof qualities, and low installation cost — all in a product that looks great and stands up to everyday life in a busy household! Unlike laminate flooring, luxury vinyl plank (LVP) and luxury vinyl tile (LVT) flooring is fully waterproof and can be used anywhere in the home. LVP and LVT flooring is especially well-suited to areas with high moisture conditions such as bathrooms, mudrooms, and basements.
Luxury vinyl flooring has many advantages:
- More scratch-resistant than hardwood flooring
- Lower cost for materials compared to real hardwood flooring
- Affordable installation cost compared to real hardwood floors and tile flooring
- Waterproof – great for bathrooms, mudrooms, basements, and any other rooms
- Consistent LVP board lengths – no short boards, which are typical of many real wood floors
- Easy installation for DIYers
Visit Our Vancouver Luxury Vinyl Flooring Showroom
When you visit our luxury vinyl flooring store in Vancouver, Washington, your project manager will take the time to learn about your home, lifestyle, and priorities so they can help you choose the right flooring for your space. With a wide selection of luxury vinyl styles, colors, textures, brands, and price ranges, we can help you find an option that fits both your needs and your vision.
Select Luxury Vinyl Flooring the Easy Way!
1. Determine whether a wood or tile visual will best set the desired atmosphere for your space. How will your new luxury vinyl floors relate with other elements in your home such as cabinets, wall color, countertops, adjacent flooring, and furnishings? Do you prefer wood plank or tile-looking luxury vinyl?
- Luxury vinyl plank flooring (LVP) refers to luxury vinyl flooring with a wood plank visual. Installing LVP flooring throughout the home can create a cohesive flow since there is no need to change flooring materials from room to room. In our Vancouver flooring store, we offer a myriad of affordable LVP flooring to bring the look and texture of real wood to your home. The predominant LVP board style is wide plank. Some brands also offer narrow boards which are well-suited to the more traditional look of older homes. Often, higher-end LVP is “embossed in register,” meaning the surface texture of the wear layer is aligned with the picture layer. This alignment of both the look and feel of the wood grain results in highly compelling simulations of hardwood flooring in the luxury vinyl plank floors.
- Luxury vinyl tile flooring (LVT) refers to luxury vinyl flooring that is made to look like tile but is much easier to maintain and has a much lower installation cost than real tile floors. The most predominant size for LVT is 12×24, with some larger sizes available. LVT is a great flooring option for kitchens, bathrooms, mudrooms, and laundry rooms. When you visit our Vancouver flooring store, you will be able to choose from LVT options simulating natural stone tile, ceramic tile, porcelain tile, and even concrete. Some LVT includes edges that mimic grouted tile edges without the long-term maintenance of real grout. Other LVT styles have a more minimalistic visual without the appearance of grout.
2. After considering the desired look for your new luxury vinyl floors, discuss your lifestyle, plus quality and price ideals with a project manager at our local Vancouver flooring store. They will expertly help you narrow down the luxury vinyl flooring options and choose your color. If your new LVP/LVT flooring will be installed in an area that will be exposed to continuous direct sunlight, be sure to discuss the suitability of your luxury vinyl floor selection before finalizing your order. Some luxury vinyl flooring is more sensitive to heat, while others are more resistant to warping.
3. Last, your project manager will help you determine additional options, such as baseboard moldings, coordinating vents, and cold air returns to complete your luxury vinyl flooring installation. You can choose if you want to purchase materials only, or if you would like the full-service experience including furniture moving, removal of your old flooring, and installation of your new flooring. If we are installing, we are happy to provide a free measure to account for everything needed for a successful luxury vinyl flooring installation!
