Select Flooring the Easy Way!
We want to understand your priorities so we can help make the process of selecting and purchasing new flooring more straightforward and enjoyable for you. When considering flooring for your home, what is essential for you? Most people want floors that are durable, easy to clean, and beautiful, at a cost that is a great value for them.
Flooring Considerations
Look, Style, & Feel
When selecting new flooring, it’s important to consider how the look and feel will impact your senses and your space. If the flooring will be installed throughout most of the home, your floors will play a major role in providing continuity and atmosphere. Darker floors can provide a dramatic and grounding vibe. Lighter floors will reflect more light and provide an air of spaciousness. Do you want soft, cozy flooring for movie night or kids’ play time? Do you need sturdy, easy-to-clean flooring for high traffic areas? In our Vancouver flooring shop, we offer a wide range of materials, visuals, qualities, and price points. Before heading to our Salmon Creek store, consider the overall look that appeals to you and consider how your new flooring will relate with other elements in your home such as cabinets, countertops, furnishings, adjacent floors, and wall color. Do you prefer high contrast? A soft, cozy feel? A dramatic statement?
Durability & Maintenance
What kind of day-to-day activities happen in your space? Do you need the most durable flooring for high scratch resistance under recurring wear and tear? Do you need easy-to-clean carpet that will resist food and pet stains? Also, consider whether you only need a product to last a few years, or if you require longevity. How does your vision of flooring performance and maintenance align with your daily use of the floor? Do you prefer floors that will look fresh over time or a ‘living floor,” such as marble, that will patina with daily use and convey the story of your household’s life?
Budget
It is important to consider your budget prior to visiting the Vancouver showroom so you can be realistic with us about your goals. We respect your budget and want you to make informed decisions you’ll be happy with for years to come! Some ways to have a lower installation cost are by handling the tear-out of existing flooring or the new flooring installation yourself.
